Terms of Services
Last updated — February 2026
These Terms of Service govern your engagement with Yule Volk, a premium videography studio. By commissioning our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully.
01. Service Agreement
A binding agreement between Yule Volk and the client is established upon written confirmation of a booking, accompanied by receipt of the agreed deposit. Each engagement is bespoke, and the scope of services will be defined in a tailored project brief provided prior to the shoot date.
Yule Volk reserves the right to decline any commission that conflicts with our creative values or operational capacity. All agreements are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Written confirmation and deposit receipt constitute a binding contract
A detailed project brief will be issued for every commission
Scope changes must be agreed in writing and may affect pricing
Yule Volk retains the right to refuse engagements at its discretion
02. User Rights & Responsibilities
Upon full payment, clients receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the delivered images and footage for the purposes specified in the project brief. Commercial licensing terms are negotiated separately and must be agreed in writing.
Personal use rights are granted upon delivery of final files
Commercial and editorial use requires a separate licensing agreement
Redistribution or resale of raw files is strictly prohibited
Clients must ensure all model releases and location permits are secured
Credit to Yule Volk is appreciated; specific attribution requirements will be detailed in each contract
03. Limitation of Liability
Yule Volk takes every precaution to deliver work of the highest standard. However, in the unlikely event of equipment failure, data loss, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, our liability is limited to the total fees paid for the specific commission.
We maintain comprehensive professional liability insurance and will make every effort to remedy any issues promptly and professionally. We strongly recommend clients maintain their own event insurance for significant occasions.
Liability is capped at the total commission fee paid
Force majeure events (illness, natural disaster, civil unrest) are excluded from liability
Yule Volk carries professional indemnity insurance
04. Payment Terms
A non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total project fee is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to the scheduled shoot date. For multi-day productions, payment schedules will be outlined in the individual project agreement.
50% non-refundable retainer due upon booking confirmation
Remaining 50% due no later than 14 days before the shoot date
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT), PayPal, Stripe
Late payments incur an administrative fee of 2.5% per 30-day period
All prices are quoted net; applicable VAT will be added where required
05. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is structured to be fair to both parties while protecting the time we have reserved exclusively for your project.
More than 60 days prior: Retainer forfeited; no further charge
31–60 days prior: 50% of total fee is due
14–30 days prior: 75% of total fee is due
Less than 14 days prior: 100% of total fee is due
Rescheduling (subject to availability) may be accommodated with written notice of 30+ days at no penalty
Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.
06. Termination of Agreement
Yule Volk reserves the right to terminate an agreement immediately, without refund of retainer, in instances of abusive conduct, misrepresentation of the commission's nature, or breach of any clause within this agreement. In such cases, delivered files remain under Yule Volk's ownership until full payment is settled.
Termination by Yule Volk for cause: no refund of retainer; all delivered assets remain withheld
Client-initiated termination falls under the Cancellation policy above
Post-termination, all licensing rights revert to Yule Volk
